Numbering system
• The Harford County system
begins at Main St. &
Pennsylvania Ave.
– Havre de Grace, Joppa, Aberdeen
do not follow this system
• Blocks:
– Unit: 0 – 99
– 100: 100 – 199
– Generally, each block is between
2 major cross streets
Numbering system
• If traveling North or East, odds are
on the right side
• If traveling South or West, they are
on the left side
• Try to remember certain addresses.
– For example, house 1 is 109.
Therefore, you know that any street
parallel to Hickory Ave. has the odds on
the right side going north
– John Carroll is 703 Churchville Rd.
• What side of the road is 104
