4, 8, 12, 16, 20…

5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35…

– The least multiple, other than 0,
common to a set of multiples

To find common multiples
of two numbers first list
the multiples of each
number:
Example:
2- 2, 4, 6, 8,10, 12
3- 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18
Next, circle all the
multiples that the two
numbers have in common
Answer:
6, 12

Least Common Multiple
To find the least common multiple of
two whole numbers:
– List the multiples of each number
– Circle the common multiples
– Identify the smallest (least) common
multiple
