Anything x a cheerio = a cheerio
Example:
45 x 0 = 0
0x5=0
1,890 x 0 = 0
Multiplying by 1’s
When you look in the mirror what do you see? I

345 x 1 = 345
Multiplying by 2’s
When multiplying by 2’s
you circle the other number
and double it.
Example
4x2=8
8 x 2 = 16
2 x 7 = 14

3, 6, 9,…12, 15, 18,…21, 24, 27,…30

You have to be 16 to
drive a 4 by 4.

When multiplying by 5 pretend that
a 5 is in the center of the clock. So if
5 is in the center and the long hand is
on the 4…it is 20 after.
If the long hand is on the 8 it is 40 after.

A little girl lived in
Clinton and a little
boy lived in Vicksburg.
They loved to talk on the
phone. From Clinton to
Vicksburg it is 36 miles.
There is a 6 story
building and a 7 story
building and they are
located on 42nd street in
New York city.

from 5 is 4…9 - 4= 5…45
9 x 8 = Trick 9…take one away
From 8 is 7…9 – 7 = 2…72

When multiplying by 10’s
the one sees itself and the
zero is a cheerio!
Example
5 x 10= the one sees a 5 and
put down a cheerio = 50
Multiplying by 11’s
When multiplying by 11 you are seeing doubles. Ex. 5 x 11 =55
