Daily Life
Chris Keegan
In Greek Mesopotamia
means the land between
two rivers. The people there
were divided into social
classes which were slaves
from debt or prisoners of
war, unskilled workers and
laborers (lower class);
workers such as jewelry
makers and brick layers just
to name a few (middle
class); then there were the
kings, priests, noble men
and their families (upper
class).
Today’s life and Daily life
is kind of the same because
there are still the same two
rivers, there are stories of
super heroes, there are kind
of social classes but no slaves
where I live, and there are
craftsmen, jewelers and still
armor able to be bought, sold,
and made. Also some people
are good at working with their
hands. Really everything is
the same but it’s just A: a
different time, 2: different
clothing, C: people don’t build
Ziggurats, and 4: like the
schools are better now, you
don’t get hurt for making a
mistake in school, houses look
different now and people
speak English and write in
English now other than
cuneiform writing.

Gods and Goddesses
Chris Keegan
All the people of
Mesopotamia believed that the
world were controlled by gods.
There were 100’s
responsibilities for certain
things. Each god protected a
city with their family. They had
houses to live in built by the
people and they were honored
by rituals done by priests and
had offerings given to them by
the people. They made
demons with human bodies
and animal heads. The people
believed things happened to
them because of the Gods or
Goddesses.
Today's gods and
Mesopotamia’s gods are similar
by them being gods and
people believe in them. The
gods had power obviously. And
so do the ones today. Also
they both have people believe
that gods did things for a
reason. The only different
thing is, is that people don’t
give foods to the gods now
and don’t have Ziggurats to
worship them in which only
priests can enter. Now
ziggurats are either temples or
churches or some other third
thing and anyone can enter
them.
