A group of people in a certain area that have a high
level of cultural and technological development.
Essential Questions:
1. Why did the first civilizations develop in the Fertile
Crescent?
2. What major advances came out of Mesopotamian
civilization?
3. How does Jewish history connect to the history of
Mesopotamia?
