BELLRINGERS
VERB PHRASES
A verb is a word that expresses action or state of
being.
 There are 3 classifications of verbs:


Helping Verbs (be, am, is, are, was, were, been, has,
have, had, do, does, did, may, can, must, might, would,
could, should, shall, will, being)
Action Verbs (bark, throw, run, etc.)
Transitive & Intransitive Verbs
A verb phrase uses action and helping verbs to
complete a sentence.
