such as religion, like Egyptian pharaoh’s claim
to divinity and the Mesopotamian fear of gods.
Economics was an area of difference,
especially when it came to merchant control
and the amount of distance trade. Each
civilization developed different politically, as in
regards to rights related to gender and property.
Egypt & Mesopotamia have both similarities &
differences. Both civilizations have similar
environmental origins as river valley societies,
however aspects differ such as religion, like
Egyptian pharaoh’s claim to divinity and the
Mesopotamian fear of gods. This fear of the
gods probably existed because floods of
Mesopotamia were unpredictable, unlike
Egypt’s floods that followed cycles. Economics
was an area of difference, especially when it
came to merchant control and the amount of
distance trade. Each civilization developed
different politically, as in regards to rights
related to gender and property.
