Grammar Point:
Usually emocionarse is used with the preterite because it
showcases a change of an emotion rather than a description
of how one feels.
EX: Yo me emocioné cuando me acerqué a Usher. Nos
emocionamos porque vamos a viajar a Ecuador.

1. A girl in a class was very responsible. She always paid attention and
turned in her homework.
2. A mischievious boy was seated behind the girl. The boy hid a dirty
sock with lots of holes and a fried fly in the girl’s backpack.
3. The girl needed a paper for homework. She grabbed her backpack,
but instead of taking out a paper, she took out a dirty sock with lots
of holes and a fried fly.
4. The kids in the class made fun of the girl. Ha, ha, ha! The girl was
embarrassed and furious.
5. She threw the fly and sock at the boy.
6. She grabbed an umbrella and hit the boy.
7. The class got excited because no one was working. The class
made fun of the boy because he had fried fly in his hair. Ha, ha, ha!
8. Later, the boy bought a flower for the girl and he told her, “I’m sorry.”
