• What is a verb?
– An action word.
• What is an infinitive?
– The unconjugated form a of a verb. In English it is the verb
with to before it. In Spanish it is a verb that ends in –ar, –
er, or –ir.
• What does it mean to conjugate?
– To change the ending of the verb to tell who does the
action and when (past, present, future).
• Regular verbs all follow the same pattern based on their
endings.

• Irregular verbs have spelling changes and don’t follow the
exact pattern perfectly, although it maybe similar.
• You need to memorize these individually.
• Irregular yo forms, the other forms conjugate normally.

We add an upside down question
mark before the question.
