Glamour Grammar Rules
Slide 1 should be printed in colour and laminated (best enlarged to A3).You will need a dice and two
counters.
The group is split into two teams, Red and Blue. Place a Red and Blue counter on the appropriate Start &
Finish square for each team. To start, a member from each team throws the dice once. The highest score
allows their team to go first.
The first team throws the dice and any score between 1 and 6 allows the team to move their counter onto
the first Orange square and then the number of squares up to their score. The Blue team moves clockwise
from the first Orange square and the Red team moves anti-clockwise from their Orange square. The first
Orange square counts as 1. When a counter lands on a particular square the team uses the PowerPoint
board and clicks on the square representing where they are physically on the laminated board. The team
should click on the triangle marked ‘B’ for the Blue team or ‘R’ for the Red team. The team then has to
decide which multiple choice answer is correct. There is only ever one correct answer for any question. A
correct answer is acknowledged and the team keeps their counter on the square, unless the ‘Correct’ slide
awards a bonus move of 1 or 2 extra squares. An incorrect answer takes the team to the ‘Better Luck Next
Time’ slide and the team then has to put their counter back to their original position.
The teams continue to take turns until one of the teams is able to complete their circuit and get the counter
off onto their team ‘Home’ square. If you are two squares away from home you do not have to throw a two,
any number from two upwards will be adequate.
