Introduction Format:
The paragraph starts off broadly.
It ends very specific and detailed.
WHAT IS A THESIS STATEMENT?
One sentence that describes the main point of your
essay.
A single, declarative sentence that states what you
want your reader to know, to believe, or to
understand AFTER reading your essay.

Do NOT use the word “I” or “You”

THESIS…
1. Do not use words like I, Me, My, You, Your, We, Us, Our….
Instead, try to use a word like “one” or “people”.
Example: By exploring of Walt Disney’s early life, creative ambition, and
many accomplishments, you will realize that Disney has greatly
impacted the entertainment industry to become a legend.
Change “you will realize” to “one will realize”

Make sure you include all of the topics of your paper! Don’t just say:
Through studying Kobe Bryant’s life, one will understand he is a great ball player.
You need to be DETAILED. Be specific in your thesis statement!
