CONTEXTUAL USE

For actions occuring at the moment of
speaking
– You are eating too fast.
– I am teaching English right now.
Time Prepositions:
now, right now, at the moment, at present
CONTEXTUAL USE

For temporary situations existing for a
period at the present time
– She’s working very hard nowadays.
Time Prepositions:
nowadays, these days, this term, this
year, this month, this semester
CONTEXTUAL USE

For situations which are changing during
the present time.
– Everything is expensive.
– Everything is getting more and more
expensive.
– The weather is hot.
– The weather ‘s getting hotter and hotter.

For events that you have planned to do
in the future
– I am meeting her next Sunday.
– She is leaving Istanbul in two days.


