What is the past participle?
The past participle is another important
conjugation of verbs.
The past participle indicates past (a
completed action/time.)

When do we use the p.p.?
Basically, the Past participle has three (3)
uses:
1) To conjugate the perfect tense forms of a
compound verb:
Present perfect
Past perfect
Future perfect
Conditional perfect
we are going to learn this topic later. First, it
is necessary to understand the past
participle
2)To conjugate verbs with the passive voice
(When the object is more relevant that
the person/ thing that performs the
action)

The earthquake destroyed the town last night
Passive

The town was destroyed last night (destroyed is the past
participle of destroy)
3) To use the participle as adjective
The past participle can be used like an
adjective in front of a noun
Examples:
