'To get' can be used in a number of patterns and has a number of meanings.
«To get» peut être utilisé dans un certain nombre de cas et possède de nombreuses

1.TO GET + direct object = obtain, receive, buy.
«To get» + objet direct = obtenir, recevoir, acheter.
Example
I got my passport last week.
2. TO GET + place expression = reach, arrive at a place.
