What is a Myth?
A traditional, typical ancient story dealing
with supernatural beings, ancestors, or
heroes that serves as a fundamental type in
the worldview of the people.
Myths were created to offer explanation for
something that was unexplainable
otherwise.
Myths are stories about adventure,
triumphs, and devotion.
Myth stories are about gods, kings, and
heroes.

Is one of the most
important and complex
deities in Ancient Greek
and Roman Religion.
He is considered the God

Olympian deities of the
Pantheon in Greek
mythology. His main
domain is the ocean.
He is called the God of

rules his family.
MERCURY
Was a messenger of the
gods who wore winged
sandals. He was a god of
trade, merchants, and
travel.

As a smithing god, he
made all the weapons of
the gods in Olympus.
He served as a
blacksmith of the gods.
He is the god of fire and
forge.

Is the Goddess of
harvest, who presided
over grains and the
fertility of the earth.

Is the Greek goddess of
love, beauty, pleasure,
and procreation.
