Named for the Roman goddess of
beauty and love
It is sometimes called the
morning or evening star because
it is visible on Earth shortly after
sunset and before sunrise.

Venus’ surface is surrounded by
poisonous clouds. The planet has
a very thick atmosphere that is
97% carbon dioxide (very deadly
for humans).
