The Texas motto is … Friendship!”
Texas, O Texas! Your freeborn single star,
Sends out its radiance to nations near and far,
Emblem of Freedom! it set our hearts aglow,
With thoughts of San Jacinto and glorious Alamo.
A Glance Back in Time…
Between 1519 and 1865, Texas was claimed
by six countries including Spain, France,
Mexico, the Confederate State of America, the
United States of America, and, itself. It was its
own country for a time, called the Republic of
Texas. This history led to the naming of the
popular modern-day amusement park, Six Flags
Over Texas.
