A $350-Million Bond Package
◻
Every classroom (1,860) would be outfitted with a modern,
equitable technology package.
◻
Every media center would receive updates, including a 3D printer.
◻
The district would add more space by building two new middle
schools, space for pre-kindergarten students and additions at four
schools.
◻
The district would address aging buildings by building four
replacement schools, extensively renovating four schools and
performing maintenance work at 35 schools.
◻
Safety improvements would be made throughout the district,
along with traffic improvements at six schools.
In Our Area . . .
◻
Konnoak Elementary would receive $19 million to build a
partial replacement school.
◻
New building with cafeteria, gym, instructional classrooms,
an additional Pre-Kindergarten Class, and small group
meeting spaces for intervention and enrichment.
◻
We are also excited about improved traffic patterns, a new
playground area, an outside classroom, and a possible
greenhouse on the roof of the school for environmental
science projects.
◻
The new wing would be renovated as well and attached to
the new facility to allow mobile units to be removed.

How Will It Affect My Taxes?
◻
◻
Based on county estimates, an average of 3.8 cents on the
county tax rate.
If your home is worth $150,000, that equals $51.75 a year.
What About The Lottery?
◻
Lottery proceeds are not enough to keep up with our
needs.
⬜ Since the lottery began in 2006, we have given all
proceeds to Forsyth County to help pay for the 2006
referendum.
⬜ Since 2006, that total is $44 million.
