GREETINGS FROM
THE KITCHEN !
I’m probably speaking for the
majority when I say that March
can not come soon enough! This
month we will be taking a
Culinary Tour of Mexico,
sampling some Beers in honor of
St. Patrick’s Day, enjoying the
fresh flavors and nutritious
benefits of our second smoothie
bar and finally discussing the
different celebrations of Easter
from around the world.
We appreciate all the feedback
regarding the food quality. We
hope that you are enjoying some
of the foods prepared in our new
Rational oven, like the grilled
cheese sandwich!
Thank you for all your input and
please continue to let us know
how we are doing.

**There will be a LTC Family Council
Lunch Meeting March 28th 2016.**
If you haven’t had a chance to see the
new foyer in the Retirement home, it is
worth the trip. There is still a little work
to be done and we are looking forward to
the final product!
Just a reminder about Guest meals. You
are welcome to join us for any meal.
Prices are $5 for breakfast, $6 for lunch
and $8 for dinner. You can purchase these
tickets at the front office, Monday to
Friday from 9-5. You can also buy in
advance if you know you will be joining
on the weekend when the office is closed.
Let us know prior and we will inform the
kitchen and have a place set for you to
enjoy your meal.
To our residents with their own vehicles,
we are updating our records and ask that
if you have a vehicle , stop by and let us
know the type of car and license plate
number. Just in case they need to be
moved for snow removal etc, we will
know who to contact.
Thank you so much! Happy Spring

Family Council Meeting March 28, 2016
Kensington Village has active resident
and family councils.
These councils are mandated by the
Ministry of Health and meet on the last
Monday of every month. The role of these
meetings is to have a voice in Long Term
Care and we appreciate the time and effort
that members of the council put in to make
Kensington the best it can be.
Thank you.

Happy Easter To All!
Easter is the time of year that we like to bring in
flowers for our loved ones. I would like to
remind you that we have a no scent policy, that
means flowers such as Lilies, Hyacinths, Lily of
the Valley and Lilacs will not be permitted in
the facility. We thank you in advance for your
co-operation.
We would like to thank you all during our
construction time, we know that it is difficult at
times to find a parking spot. I have put up no
parking signs in our temporary entrance for the
LTC side. This means no parking at all in this
area. The parking spots located beside the
gazebo are for visitors only.
Spring is coming, I think we are all looking
forward to the trees budding, flowers popping
up and birds singing!!
Health and Happiness,
Glenna Grimmer
