By Dale, Amy and Steven
Over the last two terms we have
been learning all about Islam with
our teacher Miss Monaco.
We have chosen some of our
favourite facts.
We hope that you enjoy looking at
our slide show.
Amy, Steven and Dale
Amy –
Muslims believe Allah loves
everyone.
Dale
Muhammad was 40
years old when he
went into a cave.
An angel visited
Muhammad and told
him a message from
Allah.
Steven
Muhammad grew up to
be a kind man.
He cared about poor
people.
He cared about ill
people.
He cared about hungry
people.
Amy
Muslims
pray on a
prayer
mat. They
need to
face
Mecca.
Dale
Muhammad is the
most important
man in Islam.
Muhammad was a
prophet. A prophet
is a special
religious
messenger.
He started the
religion of Islam.
Steven
Muslims
pray to
Allah in a
mosque.
They take
their shoes
off and they
have to
wash their
feet and
hands.
AMY
The top of the
tower is called a
minaret. The
muezzin calls
people to prayer
from here. The
roof is the shape
of a dome.
Dale
Ramadan is the month of
fasting. Muslims don’t
eat for a month when the
sun shines. They can eat
when it is dark. It is a
time of worship.
Ramadan ends when the
new moon comes up.
Steven
Muslims celebrate Eid
Ul Fitr at the end of
Ramadan. They have
a big party and they
get new clothes. They
give money to the
poor. Special cards
which say Eid
Mubarak are given
which means Joyful
Festival.
What I liked learning about Islam
Amy – It was good because of the cake
that we saw on the video. Muslims eat
cake to celebrate Eid Ul Fitr.
Steven- It was fun to learn more about
Islam. I liked to learn about the
mosques.
Dale – It was brilliant to learn more
about Ramadan and Eid because I didn’t
know what they were before.
