THE 5 PILLARS OF ISLAM
Narrated Ibn 'Umar (RA):
Allah's Apostle (saaw)said:
Islam is based on (the following) five (principles):
1To testify that none has the right to be
worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's
Apostle.
2To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers
dutifully and perfectly.
3To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity) .
4To perform Hajj. (i.e. Pilgrimage to Mecca)
5To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.

TESTIMONY OF FAITH:
• “ASH-HADU AN LA
ILAHA ILLA ALLAH,
WA ASH-HADU ANNA
MUHAMMADAN
RASUL-ALLAH.”

THE MEANING OF
SHAHADA:
I BEAR WITNESS THAT
THERE IS NO DEITY
(NONE TRULY TO BE
WORSHIPPED BUT
ALLAH), AND I BEAR
WITNESS THAT
MUHAMMAD IS THE
MESSENGER OF ALLAH.

• TO PRAY SALAH
5 TIMES A DAY
• Fajr, Zohar,
Asr, Maghrib,
Isha

•To pray salah is to love
allah!

3rd pillar - ZAKAH
• ZAKAH IS TO
PAY THE
(MANDATORY)
CHARITY FOR
THE POOR

3rd pillar - ZAKAH
• ZAKAH SHOULD BE PAID ACCORDING TO PRESCRIBED
AMOUNTS
(MINIMUM 2.5% ON SAVINGS OR MORE FOR OTHER
THINGS/GOLD, PROPERTY,SHARES, ETC)
• SPENDING OF WHAT YOU LOVE (WEALTH)
IS TO LOVE ALLAH
& GAIN GREAT REWARDS
FROM ALLAH.
• NOT PAYING THE ZAKAH (FOR THOSE WHO ARE
FINANCIALLY ABLE TO DO SO) BRINGS DISASTERS
UPON THE MUSLIM UMMAH.

• Narrated Abu Huraira (RA):
allah’s apostle (saaw) said:
“allah said: all the deeds of
adam(as)’s sons are for them,
except fasting which is for me, and I
will give the reward for it.”…

ALL THE
REQUIRED
MUSLIM
PILGRIMAGE SITES
IN SAUDI ARABIA.

• Narrated 'Aisha (RA):
(the mother of the faithful
believers)
I said, "O Allah's Apostle! We
consider Jihad as the best deed."
The Prophet (saaw) said, "The best
Jihad (for WOMEN) is HAJJ
MABRUR."
(Sahih Bukhari, Book #26, Hadith #595)
