Angles
 This year I have learned many things about angles and how
they work. First off angles are formed by two line connecting
together. Angles can be obtuse, acute, right, straight, relxed
and full. You can find out a missing angle in a triangle just by
using these simple steps. First step is to find what type of
angles it is. After minus the angle you already by the the type
of angle it is.
BFSD
 BFSD is short for Best friends share desert. But in math
terms it means Brackets Fractions Divide. So if I had an
algebraic question and I needed to solve it i would first see if
it had brackets then sort out the fractions into whole or
decimal number, then you have to make pairs which involves
sharing the numbers. After that all you have to do is divide.
Circle geometry
 This year i learned many things about circle geometry this
year. I learned about tangent lines. These lines only touch the
circle once and then they never meet again. With a tangent
angle it is very easy to find an 90 degree angle. And after you
can just make a isolese triangle by attaching the ends of the
tangent line to middle of the circle.
Degrees
 This year in math class i learned many things about degrees.
There are many different degrees there is 90 which is a
quarter. 180 which is half. Then the full circle is 360 degrees.
If one angle in a triangle is missing you can find it by seeing
what degree your triangle is if it is 360 degrees all angles
must add up to 360.
Exponents
 Exponents are the small number beside the whole number at
the bottom, the exponents is how many times the number at
the bottom should be times by. This year i learned that you
are able to add exponents each other and to find it all you
have to do is get the number and thats how many times you
need to times the bottom number by.
Flip
 This year I learned about how to flip. This helped me alot
with large polynomial question. Because when there was a –
sign in front one of the brackets it meant to flip and make
everything the opposite of what it really is. For example if the
question was (-9+8+2)-(2+2) in this question you would
have flip everything to its opposites.
Graph
 A graph is used to tell facts about certain math subjects. Also
it is used with business jobs to tell how your business. This
year i learned that x and the y axis help us find marks on the
graph that we wouldn't be able to find if we didn't have the x
and the y axis.
Horizontal
 Horizontal line is that goes left to right and not up and down
and is flat. If there are 2 horizontal line they will never meet
each other. Many things use horizontal including number
lines. This year i learned that the x axis is on a horizontal line.
Improper fractions
 This year I learned man things about improper fractions is
that they are fraction that have a denominator bigger then the
numerator. The things i learned in with improper fractions is
that in BFSD you must convert the improper fraction in the
question to make it easier for yourself.
Just do it
 Just do it. Our teacher refers to this alot when doing math.
The reason for this is when your doing math even if you are a
bit unclear in what to do or just how to do it.You need to
follow your prior knowledge like bedmas formula. So if you
follow bedmas or a certain formula you most likely will be
able to solve it.
Kilometre
 A kilometre is a Canadian measurement to measure a certain
distance traveled across an area. This year I learned about
how you can find the area of rectangles even if they are
kilometres long. I'm glad i learned about this in math. Also I
learned that a 100 meters = 1km.
Linear equations
 This year i learned these new things about linear equations.
One is that when you have a linear equitation x and y should
be related and equal each other. For example a linear
equation would be Y= 3X. You can also make graphs about
how they are both equal
Multiplication
 Multiplication is when you times two number by each other
for example 5*3 is basically 5+5+5 or 3+3+3+3+3. This
year I learned that any number outside a bracket is multiplied
by the numbers inside the bracket. For example if I had
3(3+3) you would times 3*3 and 3*3.
Numerator
 The numerator is the top part of the fraction.Things i
learned about numerators this year is that you can have to use
them a lot in BFSD for example in the sharing part you have
to use numerator and also in the divide part. But if there are
negatives you must flip them.
Odd number
 A odd number is number that has troubles being a divided
into a whole number. This year I learned that odd number
that even if you add an odd and a even number together you
will always get and odd number but if you two negative
numbers you will get a even number which i find strange.
Polynomials
 This year i learned many new things about polynomials.
Polynomials can have any number of terms to be considered a
polynomial but there cannot be an infinite amount terms. A
polynomial can have constants, variables, and exponents. You
can easily do a Polynomial question just by grouping like
terms together to get your answer.
Quotient
 A quotient is the answer of division question in math.
Whenever you have any sort divide question it will end in a
quotient. This year i learned many things about quotients and
how they work for example a quotient is 3/5=2 the answer
of this a equation is a quotient.
Right angles
Right angles are any angle that is 90 degrees and only that.
Right angles are found in right triangles and line that has 2
straight intersecting lines will make a 90 degree angle. This
year i learned that if you have tangent and another line
intersecting it you will automatically get a 90 degree angle.
Square root
 This year i learned many things about square roots. Square
roots are the 2 numbers that are multiplied that are the same.
The reason it is called square roots is because the 2 numbers
being multiplied to make an exact square. You can tell if a
number is squared by a certain sign the sign a the base
number and a number 2 on the top.
Tug of war
I learned about tug of war this year. Its not what would think it
is though. Tug of war is used for subtracting positives from
negative in a easy way. So all you have to do is group the
positives together and the negative. Then subtract them from
each other instead doing it one by one which is a lot less time
efficient.
Unit
 A unit is any measurement where there is a number
representing it. This year i learned that a second can be called
a unit.
Variable
 Something I learned about variables is that they are the
problem in algebra question. Sometimes there is more than 1
variable in a question and if you want to solve it, you have to
use BFSD. For example if i have a Ex 9a+3=3a first you
would have to -9a and you would have to the same on other
side. Then you would be left with 3= -6a then you would
divide by six and you would have your variable isolated.
Whole numbers
 A new thing I learned about whole numbers is that they dp
not consist of both positive and negative numbers. For
example -1 and +1 are both integers. Integers are any whole
number including positives or negatives. If you were to put
an a whole a number into a fraction it could not be less then
1.
X axis
 This year I learned many things about the x axis one of things
are that the why axel is the horizontal which means it goes
left to right not top to bottom. This year I learned about how
they worked on graphs. I used the x axel to find coordinates
of where things are on a graph
Y axis
 This year i learned many things about the y axis. One thing is
that is the vertical line in a graph and goes top too bottom.
People use the y axis to find coordinates on where stuff id on
a graph and how to find it
Zero pairs
 Zero pairs consist of a positive number and a negative
number but they need to be similar numbers or else the
number will either be a positive or a negative number. When
the two numbers combine they create 0 pair.
