* China –4th largest country in the world
* China -Mountains, highlands and plateaus
* Plateaus –raised areas of level land
* Mountains & deserts cover 2/3 of land
* Deserts –dry region of extreme temperature and little
vegetation
* North China Plain –very fertile land due to the loess
deposited by the Huang He
* Japan & Korea –Mountains & narrow plains
* Korea –peninsula –a piece of land nearly surrounded by
water
* Korea peninsula stretches between the Yellow Sea & Sea of
Japan
* 70% of land is mountainous
