Q: Where are earthquakes most likely to
occur?
A: Most earthquakes are occurring near
shifting tectonic plates or around the ring
of fire.
Q: How likely is it that you will experience
an earthquake?
A: An experience of an earthquake is very
unlikely because most of the earthquakes
occur near shifting plates and are so far
under ground or week that you cant feel
them.
Q: What is causing earthquakes
A: An earthquake is two or more of the
tectonic plates shifting and bumping into
each other.
Q: Is their any relationship between
earthquakes and volcanoes
• A: Yes some volcanic eruptions may be a
sign of an earthquake!
Q: How do volcanoes fit the picture?
• A: When tectonic plates run into each
other it can form mountains and the
pressure of lava flow can might change
the mountain into an active volcano!
