He is a small forward that plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
KD is currently 25 years old.
As a child he attended basketball prep schools in Maryland to
gain national attention.
He attended the University of Texas at Austin and only played his
freshman year of college there.
Kevin Durant was the 2nd overall pick in the 2007 NBA draft by
the Seattle Supersonics.
He has played seven seasons in the NBA so far.

Shooting guard, Small forward, and Power forward.
He can shoot like Ray Allen and drive like Lebron James.

He is able to handle the ball extremely well because in high school
when he was 6’ 2’’ he played guard. He developed these skills
early on.
Later in high school, Kevin Durant grew 9 inches but was able to
retain his guard abilities.
The only player in the NBA who has similar characteristics is
Lebron James. He is widely accepted as the best basketball player
on the planet but Kevin Durant is close behind. In a few years KD
probably will overtake the title as “King” of the NBA.

In 2013 Oklahoma City and Moore in Oklahoma were hit with
devastating tornadoes.
Kevin Durant donated $1 million to the American Red Cross to
assist the disaster relief efforts in the wake of the tornadoes.

donated an additional $1 million dollars for relief efforts.

He works with less privileged kids and spends time with the
needy.
For example, he donated $150,000 to three organizations for less
fortunate kids. KD wanted them to grow up with proper
opportunities.
