WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT
Acne vulgaris, or acne (acne) is a skin problem that starts when oil and dead skin cells
clog your pores. When you only have a few red spots, or pimples, you have a mild form
of acne. Severe Acne can mean hundreds of pimples that can cover the face, neck,
chest, and back. Or, it can be bigger, solid, red painful lumps (cysts).
Most young people get at least mild acne. It usually gets better after 10 years. But
many adult women have acne in the days before their menstrual period.
How do you feel about your acne? Some people with severe acne are not bothered.
Others are embarrassed or upset even though only a few pimples.
The good news is that there are many good treatments that can help control acne.
What are the causes and symptoms of acne? And how do you deal with acne for
sensitive skin and prevent acne scars?
Symptoms
The recognition of acne on the basis of symptoms
Acne occurs mainly in boys and girls during puberty, but adults can also be
affected. The symptoms remain the same for the young and old. Thus, acne may
be recognized as pimples mainly on the face, back and chest occurring in the form
of red and white pimples, pustules, cysts and blackheads. Abscesses can also be a
symptom of acne.
Acne starts when oil and dead skin cells clog the pores of the skin. If germs enter the
pores, the result can be swelling, redness, and pus.
This closed pore is a perfect place for bacterial growth. The bacteria take care of
inflammation and irritation in the skin, creating a red pimple (with a white cup).
Causes
Acne: A skin problem with many causes
There are several factors that lead to the formation of blackheads, pimples and acne scars
in the end. Hormonal changes, especially, caused by, for example, puberty, premenstrual
syndrome and pregnancy play a role in the pathogenesis of acne. More so, stress and
fatigue can lead to an overproduction of sebum, decreased desquamation of the skin and
nesting of bacteria.
Treatments
The most important rule in the treatment of acne
To overcome acne, it is important to use products that are suitable for your type of oily
skin.
Clean your skin with a gentle product designed for oily skin
Apply a moisturizer every day. This is of great importance for the success of
the treatment against acne.
Do not use oily makeup that further clogs pores. Choose a non-comedogenic
version to camouflage your imperfections.
Contrary to popular belief, the sun (UV radiation) is bad for acne: protect the
skin very well, or with an additional sun protection with a light texture.
Do not squeeze pimples to avoid acne scars.
P.S. In addition to these measures, you can as well obtain a clinically proven
step by step system to deal with acne once and for all.
