The WaterShield patented ceramic technology innovatively infuses microscopic air
spaces into the material mass of the ceramic . This creates a more complex material
matrix structure occluding bacteria whilst permitting higher throughput of water at
much lower pressures. The WaterShield unique sintered composite of material
prevents biofouling and biofilm formation . This stops clogging guaranteeing liquid
flow assuring longer Filtering life performance. The WaterShield ceramic water filter
lasts at least seven times longer than its nearest rival competing product.

Compliance with the existing regulations
The fabrication of the filters is based on the standard requirements of ISO 13485:2003 Medical devices, maintaining quality. The
Regulatory requirements are according to Directive 93/42/EEC concerning medical devices.
All the components of the products are selected in accordance with the recommendations of the Food and Drug Administration
(FDA), according to the legal code for products that come into contact with foodstuffs. The products are Class Ⅰ medical devices
and are marked CE follow the requirements of the regulations. The ABS plastic material that is used to meet the requirements of
European Pharmacy – Issue 5, Chapter 3.2.2 “Packaging and plastic closures for pharmaceutical use US-USP VI” – and the
material is tested for biological reactivity. The hollow fibres of the micro-filters are selected based on the quality and
guarantees ACS & NSF61 & in process of obtaining CE- Medical (see link attach), NSF 42, 53, 401 & 177 certificates standards.
The products WS2013PRO & WS2014PRO are individually tested to the good state of the membrane and the water resistance of
the device to be ensure. The filters contain a bacterial component which resists the spreading of micro-organisms on the surface
of the product; the risk of subsequent contamination reduces by 99%.
The product does not contain latex!
