Is your drinking water safe?
Please check with “Drinking Water Hometest Series”
Drinking Water Hometest suggest simple
and easy drinking water safety monitoring by
self-conducting bacterial test in home. The
protocol is very simple and the principle,
color change of water sample induced by
bacteria’s specific enzyme reaction, is
recommended as official test method for
water safety test in many countries.
▶ Specific enzyme reaction coupled with color change!

Even if you are not a scientist, you can test bacterial safety of water sample by yourself
with our “Drinking Water Hometest” because the protocol is very simple and everything’s
prepared in kits.
You can read the result within 18 hrs to 24 hrs.
You can achieve reliable test result with our principle, so called “color change of water
sample induced by bacteria-specific enzyme reaction” is recommended as official test
method for water safety test in many countries.
It is so sensitive and reliable as even one bacterium is detected.
We provide safe wasting of the test materials with Bacterzero, natural-origin bacteria
sterilization reagent. After testing add Bacterzero into your water sample and prohibit
secondary contamination.

BacterView for total aerobes
BacterView is a kit detecting total aerobic bacteria in your drinking water, which change the
color to red. Total aerobic bacteria indicate contamination or stability of water and exist widely in
river, ground water, soil, foods, air and so on. They grow in the presence of oxygen and too many
numbers can cause stomach disorder or diarrhea.

is converted to formazan because of reduction by
dehydrogenase of bacteria, which indicates red color.

ColiView for coliforms
Coliview is a kit testing presence and absence of coliforms in your drinking water allows specific
enzyme-chromogenic substrate reaction. Coliforms are important indicators of fecal contamination.
If coliform bacteria exist (blue color), you should enhance hygiene practice because the result
provide a possibility of other food poisoning pathogens.

Principle
If coliforms are present, they use the enzyme βgalactosidase (produced by all coliforms, including
E.coli) to metabolize the specific color-producing
substrate, X-gal and the medium changes color from
near colorless to blue.
X-gal

E.ColiView for coliforms & E. coli
E.Coliview use specific enzyme-chromogenic substrate reaction to simultaneously detect total
coliforms and E.coli from home and environmental water samples. Coliforms including E. coli are
important indicators of fecal contamination. If they exist (blue color) in your drinking water, you
should enhance hygiene practice of it because the result provide a possibility of other food
poisoning pathogens.

E. coli
Coliform-positive reaction turns the
medium blue. The blue color means
that total coliforms are present in
the sample. If no color change
means that there are no presence
of total coliforms in the test sample.
E. coli-positive reaction caused the
medium to fluorescence under a
long-wavelength UV lamp (365nm).
If a bright blue fluorescence is
observed, this indicates that MUGpositive E. coli bacteria are present.
