The Process of Mitosis
By: Derrick Alba
Introduction to Mitosis
Phase 0: Interphase (Preparatory)
Phase 1: Prophase
Phase 2: Prometaphase (Prophase 2)
Phase 3: Metaphase
Phase 4: Anaphase
Phase 5: Telophase
Phase 5: Cytokinesis (Telophase 2)
Conclusion


In conclusion, mitosis is a 6 phase process with
a phase before and after mitosis called
Interphase which, along with other cellular
functions, is a preparatory phase for mitosis.
Mitosis occurs in all body (somatic) cells except
eggs and sperm) and eukaryotic cells which
includes animals, plants, fungi and complex
bacteria.
The phases of Mitosis are Prophase,
Prometaphase, Metaphase, Anaphase,
Telophase and Cytokinesis.
