According to lobbying watchdog CEO (Corporate Europe Observatory) the
food industry has spent millions on blocking understandable labels in one

Alcohol content
Why do we need to know how much alcohol is in a drink?
Because alcohol is the most powerful neuro-chemical that most
humans will ever ingest, so knowing the dose is quite helpful
Because alcohol may be very nice but it is also a toxic, addictive,
carcinogenic drug of abuse, so being able to calculate your weekly
intake is quite helpful.
How do we know how much alcohol is in a drink?
There are currently two systems:

2 grogs / half litre
12% ABV wine
=
12 grogs / litre
=
12 x 0.75 grogs / bottle
40% ABV vodka =
40 grogs / litre
= 9 grogs
