Uncontrolled Cell Growth
Cancer has been around as
long as mankind, but only in
the second half of the 20th
century did the number of
cancer cases explode.
(cervical cancer cell dividing)
Some scientists believe that contributing to this explosion are
large amounts of toxins and pollutants we are exposed to,
high stress lifestyles that zap the immune system, poor
quality junk food that is full of pesticides, electromagnetic
stress, and just about anything that wasn't around 200 years
ago.
These scientists believe that these items alter the internal environment in
the body and turn it into an environment that promotes the growth of
cancer.

1
Cancer is a disease that originates in our own cells. A change in the
DNA causes a special gene called an oncogene to be switched on.
This leads to uncontrollable cell reproduction by mitosis. And this is a
cancer.

Cancer cells do not respond to the signals that regulate cell
growth. As a result they grow uncontrollably and form
masses of cells called tumors. Cancer cells can also break
loose from the tumor and spread throughout the body. This
can cause serious medical illness or death.
What causes cancer?
There are many causes of cancer:
•Smoking or Chewing Tobacco Products
•Radiation Exposure
•Certain Viral Infections and STDs
•Pesticides
•Certain Chemicals/Drugs (carcinogens)
•Genetics
•Some cancers have no known cause
Treatments for Cancer
•Chemotherapy
•Radiotherapy/Radiation
•Surgery/Removal
•Immunotherapy
•Stem Cell Transplants
•Many Other Natural/Holistic
Treatments.
Cancer is a disease of the cell cycle.
