BCCTP Application Process:
• Step 1. The uninsured woman diagnosed with breast or cervical
cancer will work with her healthcare provider to compile a
completed application packet. (The list of documents required in
a packet is on page 3.)
• Step 2. The woman will submit the completed application
packet to the WWHP via fax, mail, or in-person. (Submission
information is on page 4.)
Please Note: Complete application packets are required.
Incomplete pack-ets will not be submitted to the BCCTP.
Submitting incomplete packets causes time delays and lengthens
the time between diagnosis and treatment initiation. Prompt
treatment initiation supports the best out-come for women.
BCCTP Application Process:
• Step 3. The WWHP reviews the BCCTP application
packet for eligibility and completeness. The WWHP
maintains a 24-hour turn-around time for completed
BCCTP applications. If the application is complete, the
WWHP promptly faxes it to the BCCTP unit at AHCCCS
for processing.
• Step 4. Once AHCCCS receives the completed
application, the processing time is 7 days. Please
contact AHCCCS at (602) 417-5061 if you have
questions or concerns about the processing time for an
application.
• Step 5. Once BCCTP eligibility is approved, the woman
receives treatment through the BCCTP, managed by
AHCCCS, Arizona’s Medicaid Program.
