Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)
Dynamic Data Exchange is method that
allows Windows programs to share data.
Using DDE, you can enter a formula into
an Excel spreadsheet cell that refers to a
field of data in Peachtree. Whenever you
use that spreadsheet in the future, the cell
would be updated with the current data
from Peachtree.

Peachtree Tips
Before completing the work in Chapter 18, you
must copy the four files from the textbook
website. (See textbook pages 651-652.)
You restore Bellwether data from Exercise 6-2
to complete Chapter 18.
If you do not have Exercise 6-2 data, install
Bellwether’s starting data. This is shown in
Appendix A on pages 701-702.
Whenever you use DDE, you must start
Peachtree first, then Excel.
