CREATING A WORKS CITED PAGE
ENGLISH 9 RESEARCH PAPER--STONITSCH
• Drafting a Works Cited Page with all 5 of your sources
• However, as you begin to organize your info and prepare to outline your paper before
beginning to write it, you may decide to add different sources, remove some sources, or
not use all of them. YOU ARE ONLY REQUIRED TO USE 3 OF YOUR 5. ALL SOURCES YOU USE
IN YOUR PAPER MUST HAVE PARENTHETICAL CITATIONS (IN YOUR PAPER) AND MUST BE
ON YOUR WORKS CITED PAGE AND THEY MUST MATCH.
• Once you create a draft of your works cited page, you will print it out—WORKS CITED DRAFT 1 IS
DUE NEXT MON 2/29
• Then to the left of each source, you will number your sources on this list and circle each
number—THIS IS JUST FOR DRAFT
• Your numbers in the top right corner of each note card should match the circled number on your
works cited draft to specify which source provided which fact.
