Definition: A bibliography is a list of the sources
you used to get information for your report.
Sources can include: books, websites, newspapers,
magazines, movies, interviews, blogs, emails, etc.
We list our sources when we are writing reports,
making PowerPoints, or any other thing in which we
use information that is found somewhere else.
1. To properly give the credit to those who
have 1st found the information.
2. Some information is copywritten, which
means it is illegal to use it without permission.
3. So that the people reading your reports can
verify that your information is correct.
When we cite, or list, our information it must
be in the proper format.
This can be very confusing, but there are
websites that will do the hard part for you.
Citationmachine.net is a great website for this
There are also 3 types of formats that you can
use: MLA, APA, and Turabian
We will use MLA.
Bibliographies go on their own page at the end
of a report.
