The Internet • Inter meaning around the world, • Net meaning a group of interlinked objects • A connection of computers around the world linking together to make a huge server to serve billions What Is Web 2.0? Web 2.0 • The first update to the internet • Created in 1999 • Introduces different forms of communicating information such as: Images, Video, Design etc. • Brought colour into the internet • Created user friendliness Before the internet • Libraries, people used books to acquire information • People had to physically go and see each other if they wanted to talk • Letters were written by hand During the internet • Not much change because the internet was mostly available to business instead of ordinary people During web 2.0 • Internet became available to everyone • But didn't become popular until 2003 when The web became the largest collection of people online After web 2.0 • Web 3.0, the second update to the world wide web • Includes advanced AI • Connectivity to other mobile devices • And other undisclosed features What do you think of web 2.0 Survey collected from 25 students And 9 Adults Do you use web 2.0 every day?
