Saving PowerPoint Presentations
as Web Pages
• Open the PowerPoint Presentation.
• To convert to a format compatible with
web browsers, launch the wizard by
clicking on: File --> Save as HTML.
Layout selection
• New layout --> Next >
• Select the page style --> Standard --> Next
Graphic type - Graphic size
• GIF - Graphics Interchange Format --> Next >
• 640 by 480 --> Next
Information page
• add information for Table of Contents screen
• E-mail address:
• Your home page:
• Other information:
• Download original presentation
• --> Next
Colors and buttons
• Select page colors and button look
• Use browser colors --> Next
•Select button style (your choice)
Layout options
• Lower right layout (places navigation buttons
to the right of the web page slide)
• Include slide notes in pages (will include your
presentation notes from the PowerPoint notes
in your HTML document)
• --> Next
• Create HTML in …
(enter location)
• --> Next
Finish
• Finish
• Don’t Save
• OK
The Web pages are now complete. The next
step is to transfer (FTP or Fetch) the folder
containing your presentation and related files
created by the “Save as HTML” wizard.
