Hotlist
• A Hotlist is an annotated, linked list of useful
websites that pertain to a particular topic. A
Hotlist can be thought of as a bibliography of
websites, a list of “bookmarks”, or a “track” of
interesting resources. The primary purpose of
a Hotlist is to identify a set of meaningful
online resources to help prevent yourself and
others from wasting hours searching the Web.
Digital Storytelling
• Digital Storytelling is an instructional approach
in which stories are conveyed in a visual
medium using digital video, images, narration,
audio files and music.

Scavenger Hunt Sites
• Scavenger Hunts for each month
Some scavenger hunts can cover topics more in
depth and use more than one site.
• Used to find specific information, not used for
critical thinking skills
• Students visit specific sites to find answers to
specific questions-
Blogs
• Online collaborative journal – real world writing
• Children love having an audience. The instant
recognition and approval that comes from a
crowd just can't be beat. Employing blogs to help
develop good spelling habits, grammar skills, and
develop a love for writing at a young age is an
innovative concept that has potential benefits.

• This might not be web 2.0, but it is a site that
allows teachers to help students understand
graphs.
• Fast and easy- can use as a time filler

and applications.

• A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented lesson
format in which most or all the information
that learners work with comes from the web.
