CIM 223 - QuickBooks 2000
• Beginning QuickBooks for business accounting
solutions
• For this course, your must be familiar with
windows 2000 and/or XP
• Must know windows explorer
– Copying files, making folders etc
• QuickBooks 2003 and QuickBooks 2002 have
few differences in user interfaces and features
• Will use QuickBooks 2003 Pro in the class

assignment etc.) are posted on the class

– files are in .qbw format and can be used directly
• If you have QuickBooks 2000-2002
– files are in backup format (.qbb), and must be
restored to data file format (.qbw) before use
Practice Files
• These files should be downloaded from
the web site www.sleeter.com/support
• Select the seminar book for 2003 and
download the zipped file
• Unzip the zipped file to create practice
files in .qbb format
• These files will only work with QuickBooks
2003

Class Assignments
• Turn in assignments on due date
• Use one cover sheet per assignment
