Assignments
The purpose of these assignments is to verify that you
can use equipment and services required for the Cs3505
class. This includes
*web access,
*use browser,
*use e-mail,
*access the class web page.
First Day Assignment
• Go to the CS3505 home page
• Down Load some Class Material
• Send an E-mail to [email protected]
– Subject: “First day Assignment Section (1or2) Your
Name (Yes or No)”
– Send “from” E-mail you want to contacted on
– Body:
• comment describing trouble if any
– The Yes or No in the subject line should indicate
whether you had any trouble accessing the class web.
Accessing Your Directory
Assignment
• Map to the CS3505 web page with your windows
explorer
• Make your directory under Student Example
directory (use your NPS logon name)
– Copy any file and then delete it to make sure you have
access to the directory you made
• Trouble: E-mail [email protected]
– Subject: Getting started task Section (1or2) Your
Name
– Body: Explain problem
Project Familiarization Task
• Read CS 3505 Projects presentation
• Go to the CS3505 home page and browse
through the projects
• Look at the “ Web Page Critique” slide and
find an example of a student page or a
WWW web page which is either especially
good or bad. Bring the URL to class for
discussion.
