Our ability to serve is diminished or
increased by our level of Self-reliance.
“Spiritual Guidance cannot come from the
spiritually weak.”
Now is the time to lay the building blocks for
the foundation of Welfare in our lives in our
homes and with our children.
Presented By: Jon Sherman
We are often blessed with help from others
during our trials.

Priesthood blessings, food, shelter, money.
In Challenging times, when many are in need,
resources will not be adequate for all those who
stand in need.
The Lord has taught us to provide for our own
needs and not rely on the good nature of
others.


We have been counseled about being prepared
for the coming “Stormy Weather”.
It is our responsibility to prepare our families
to deal with hardships ahead of time so when
they do come, We can meet them head-on.

Supply. Like:
 Extra Propane for your BBQ….


Simple Alcohol Stoves

Charcoal & Cardboard Box Oven
A collection of items you can use to keep warm,
dry, fed and hydrated and treat minor injuries
following a disaster.
 Portable so you can take it with you.
 Have it always ready! You may be forced to
leave in as little as 5 minutes.


After a disaster, water & sewage lines may be disrupted.
Earthquakes, floods and mudslides can break sewage and water
lines.

Power outages: Water and sewer lines are dependant on
electricity to run their pumps.

When Water/Sewer lines are down, Sanitation can become a
serious problem…Very Quickly!

"People affected by disasters are more likely to become ill and to
die from diseases related to inadequate sanitation and water
supplies than from any other single cause." (World Health Organization)

As much as possible, continue regular hygiene habits. This will
help prevent the spread of disease and irritation as well as help
relieve stress.

Prepare a Sanitation Kit that can be
used at home and portable so it can
go with you if you need to evacuate

Add some garbage bags as liners,
toilet paper and other hygiene items
like hand sanitizer, feminine
supplies, baby wipes and a folding
shovel into the bucket and you have
a great solution to this serious need.
