Length of Training
• Initial Training: One half-day session of
Teacher Institute
• Advanced Training: One half-day session
of Teacher Institute
• Each training must have some practice
time built in.
Materials needed
• Lab computers

Basic Networking
Teachers will be introduced to basic networking
concepts such as:
• Basic structure
What is a server? What does it do?
Network nodes – Is this computer mine or can I log in
anywhere in the school?
• Network profiles
What does it mean when I log into my computer?
• Network shared drives
Using the U drive.
Does it mean that all is lost when my files are gone?
• Student shared drives
What does this mean for the students?
• Teacher access to student files
How can I see what the students save?
