•Web 1.0
•static
•focused on presenting information
•Web 2.0
•Alive
•Collaborative
•Customisable
•Interactive
•networked
How can I use Web 2.0 in teaching
You can
•design Web 2.0 applications
•Use Web 2.0 applications for research/preparation
•Use those applications as part of a lesson
•students use the applications for research/learning
I still don’t get what you’re talking about!............

•Can be embedded in your blog or website
•Bound to find something useful…….
…..even in unlikely places…...
•Young people are already using Web 2.0
•Even for learning…..
…..outside of school……
…to mind map…..
…but it’s not just for kids…..
Web 2.0 has something for everyone.
…to share information…….
Web 2.0 is used to campaign….
but also gives you the tools to
edit and share …..
The SplashCast service enables anyone to create streaming media
‘channels’ that mix together video, music, photos, narration, text, as well
as RSS feeds, PowerPoint presentations and PDF documents. These
user-generated channels can be played and easily syndicated on any web
site, blog, or social network page. When channel owners modify their
channel, their content is automatically updated across all the web pages
‘tuned’ to that channel.
Web 2.0 is voluminous..
It’s networked…
It’s connected…
It’s shared…….
It’s simple….really it is…
So Web 2.0 is democratic….
…but sometimes dangerous…
..misleading….
..biased.
But if that is a problem
…but if you’re scared..
…there are relevant, controlled wikis.
The text book might work
fine..
But if Web 2.0 seems too big…..
Some Web 2.0 sites are simple…..
Some a little more detailed….
