“New York is a governing state in the Partnership for the Assessment of
Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC or Partnership), which will
develop a K-12 assessment system aligned to the Common Core State
Standards in English language arts and mathematics. These assessments
will help states which have joined the Partnership – including New York –
to dramatically increase the number of students who graduate high
school ready for college and careers.” 2014-15 estimated to begin
assessments A performance-based assessment (PBA) component, administered after
approximately 75% of the school year, and
An end of year assessment (EOY) component, administered after
approximately 90% of the school year.
