THE DAY
I DEFENDED
MY DOCTORATE
TO EARN MY
ED.D.
FEBRUARY, 2010
Husband, Bruce, and Suz at the
Math Department Pumpkin Carving Party in 2009
Daughter, Chrystal, and her Ben
At the Robert Ferguson Observatory in the Valley of the Moon
I was up there to view “Minor Planet Antink” (Thanks, Lynnelle Ye!!) in September, 2010.
On the wall is a plaque dedicated to my brother—he was instrumental in founding this observatory.
My sister-in-law, Asata Gabrielle, and my brother, George Loyer, with their dogs—
we were up at the observatory as part of a viewing party—hoping to see Planet Antink by 2 am.
Husband, Bruce, hiking around the observatory—
beautiful hillsides—great viewing--we were just waiting for the sun to set.
Just hiking about—waiting for the sun to go down—so the star show could begin!
We saw tons of shooting stars! But Planet Antink didn’t rise until almost 4 am—and dawn broke. Dang it!
One of the Math Department Adventures: Indoor Skydiving!
Big fun! (Great hairstyle for me…)
Chrystal and Ben—an engagement picture.
The wedding is set for a great date, Brit style: 13/12/11
Up at Northstar (North shore).
Skiing, this trip—I also snowboard a little… Great spring skiing (2010)
We’re just a couple of old snow-bunnies…
Does that make us snow rabbits?
I did write a Pascal Textbook (back in ‘95).
Here’s the current crowd of fans reading it now!
It does get a little crazy here at Paly—never boring—
sometimes surprising!
Thanks for checking stuff out--
