The First Noel
VERSE 1
The first Noel the angel did say
Was to certain poor shepherds
In fields as they lay;
In fields where they
Lay tending their sheep,
On a cold winter's
Night that was so deep.
CHORUS
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel.
Born is the King of Israel.
VERSE 2
And by the light of a bright east star
The Wise Men came from country far;
To worship the King was their intent,
So they followed the
Star wherever it went.
CHORUS
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel.
Born is the King of Israel.
VERSE 3
This star drew nigh to the northwest
Over Bethlehem it took its rest
And there it did both stop and stay
The wise men rejoiced with
The star over the place.
CHORUS
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel.
Born is the King of Israel.
VERSE 4
Then entered in those
Wise Men with glee
Full reverently upon the knee
And offered there, in Jesus presence
Their gold and myrrh and frankincense.
CHORUS
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel.
Born is the King of Israel.
