Astronomy is the oldest sciences. First astronomical site probably was Stonehenge, constructed
somewhen between 3100-2000 BC on England's Salisbury Plain. Some astronomers suggest
that Stonehenge was used to keep track of the solar-lunar eclipses.

astronomy as ”studies concerned with the most beautiful objects, most deserving
to be known. This is the nature of the discipline which deals with the universe's
divine revolutions, the asters' motions, sizes, distances, risings and settings, as
well as the causes of the other phenomena in the sky, and which, in short, explains
its whole appearance. What indeed is more beautiful than heaven, which of course
contains all things of beauty?”

Science always liked music. Pitagoras discovered
integer proportions for chord length producing
“harmony”. Now, numbers which are not integer
proportion, we call “irrational”. Galileo Galilei got
interest in Physics listening to his father – violin
maker. Kepler found “his” three laws trying to
inscribe planetary orbits within “regular” volumes:
tetrahedral, cube and so on. Even solutions of the
Schrödinger equation are expressed in “spherical
harmonics”. Does some transcendental harmony
really exist in the Universe?

Johannes Kepler claimed that the heavenly motions are
nothing but a continual music of several voices, which can be
comprehended by intellect not by the ear.

Our solar system consists of a recycled Star, too small to be a neutron star and bigger than brown dwarfs. Four internal planets, called
telluric, posses an iron core, of similar dimensions; it is solid on Mars and above the Curie point (?) on Venus, so these two have no
magnetospheres. Atmospheres are all different: with Na and K atoms on Mercury, CO2 and sulphuric acid on Venus (causing a 450º
greenhouse effect), thin CO2 layer with water frozen on Mars, hydrogen, helium, with some methane and ammonia on Jupiter.
Ironic core posses also Io, the biggest Jupiter’s satellite, but with its 24 km high volcanoes of molten sulphur is not the place to live in.
Remaining three of the almost naked-eye visible, so-called Galilean satellites of Jupiter are covered, probably, with frozen water.

Cassini spacecraft indicate that Saturn's majestic
ring system has its own atmosphere - separate
from that of the planet itself. The ring is composed
of small solid particles, as predicted by. J.C.
Maxwell in 1870 and its atmosphere contains
mainly molecular oxygen.
It turns out, that the planet and satellite movements are partly harmonized. The most famous
planet cycle commensurabilities are: Jupiter – Saturn resonance (2:5), Neptune – Pluto
resonance (2:3). Another example are Jupiter moons: Io resonates with Europe (1:2), the
same between Europe and Ganymede, finally Ganymede – Callisto resonance ratio is 3:7.
There is a lot more planetoid resonances. If we had done an exact transcription of the planet
movement frequency to the music, we could achieve scattered planet chards.

Mercury, circumvallating the Sun in 88 (our) days is a clamorous example of the
cosmic harmony. The rotation, orbital and synodic periods are in 6:4:3 resonance: one
day on Mercury lasts exactly one Mercury’s year and the night lasts the second year.
Mercury rotates around the Sun four times exactly at the same when the Earth rotates
around it only once, so it is visible from Earth in almost the same orientation.

But as far as many orbits are well synchronized, those of newly discovered moons of
Jupiter seem a dust-bin. Is Jupiter a kind of
Gigante Buono swallowing all trash before
it comes to Earth?
Where is the border?
Neptun is not the most distant body of the Solar System. The Kuiper belt, predicted in 1951
and remained theory until the 1992 detection of a 150-mile wide body, called 1992QB1 at the
distance of the suspected belt. There are more than 800 known trans-Neptunian (or Kuiper
Belt Objects, KBOs). It is surprising that one-third of the population are engaged into the 3:2
resonance with the Neptune. Because the same resonance is also occupied by Pluto the object
are named "Plutinos" (little Plutos). Probably, the resonance stabilizes the Plutinos against
gravitational perturbations by Neptune. Quaoar is a newly discovered KBO, found in June
2002. The existence of 2003 EL61 was reported on 28 July 2005. KBO 2003 UB313, as big
as or slightly bigger than Pluto was announced on July 29, 2005 as the X planet.
Sedna (2003 VB12), disclosed on 15 March 2004, as the coldest, most distant object known
to orbit the Sun, is an exciting object with large perihelion distance. Possibly it is the first
object in the cloud hypothesized in 1950 by Jan Oort cloud. The cloud, 50000 times more
distant from Sun than the Earth, is a possible source of some (“Jupiter family”) comets.
Sedna's presence may suggest that the Oort cloud is much closer than scientists believed.

So what about the Cosmic Harmony?
As said by Kepler, it sounds in our
minds, not in ears. And consists in
carefully chosen gravitational, cosmological and fine structure constants to
make all this Universe turn around.
