 Flat heads
 Jerky movements
 Protruding tongues
 Inappropriate laughter
 Absence of speech
 Mental retardation
Sex Linked or Autosomal
 Angelman’s Syndrome is autosomal and is
also recessive
 Angelman’s Syndrome is both equally
common in males and females
How often does Angelman’s
Syndrome Occur
 About 1000 people in the U.S. and Canada
have Angelman’s Syndrome
 And also in occurs in all racial/ethnic groups
