Home bag, reading wallet and

need to come to school every

Assembly
School Assemblies are
held on Tuesday mornings
for students in Prep to
Year Five and the first
Tuesday of the month is a
Whole School Assembly.
Before School Routines
Children arriving at school
prior to 8:20am are required
to gather in the Junior
Basketball Area (Behind
Outside School Care
Building). When the 8.20am
bell rings, children are to
take their school bag and
place it in the port racks
outside their classroom.
Absences from College
If your child is going
to be absent, you must
contact the College on
the absentee hotline.
This is a recorded
service open 24 hours
seven days a week. The
End of School Day Routines
If you collect your child after
school, please wait in the
Junior Tuckshop Area. Children
in Year 5 and onwards are to
wait for their siblings in the
area between the Year One and
Two classrooms or where an
arrangement has been made with
the classroom teacher.
Children who get picked up at
Meetings
If you wish to meet with your class
teacher, please feel free to email
us or phone the school and we will
be more than happy to arrange a
suitable time to meet. Once
teaching/learning commences at
8:40am it is not practical to have
our focus taken away from the
children in our care.

Report cards are issued at
the end of each semester.
They are accompanied with a
portfolio. We conduct formal
interviews at the end of
Semester One and we will also
be requesting an interview in

We love to celebrate birthdays in
the Early Years. You are very
welcome to send individual patty
cakes to help mark your child’s
special day. In the hotter weather,
ice-blocks have proven to be a very
popular idea.
Year One Gold parents please note
that we have a child allergic to
chocolate so please refrain from
Healthy Lunches in Year One
In Year One we are carrying on
the great modelling set in the
Prep year and would like the
children to continue to bring
healthy options for lunch.
Please avoid any tins or sharp
objects being included in your
child’s lunch. We will send
home suggestions and websites
Munch/Crunch
During the first session
of the day, the children
will be able to consume a
small amount of healthy
food. Food items for
Munch Crunch include
Tuckshop
Students in Prep to Year 5
must order their morning tea
or lunch through the paper bag
ordering system and use the
Junior Tuckshop. You are also
able to use the Flexi Schools
online ordering system.
Children are discouraged from
sharing their food with others
Star Buddies
Star Buddies is a wonderful
opportunity for our younger
children to build a rapport
with the older children at St
Eugene. Each child is buddied
up with a student from a
middle and upper PC class and
is involved in activities such
as reading, craft and even
Volunteers
Outside each Year One room is a Volunteer
Roster. If you are interested, please
nominate a time where you would like to
assist.
Some parents’ schedules allow them to
come to school and help out in a
classroom on a weekly or monthly basis.
We will be grateful for any time you can
assist us.
If it is impractical to help in the
classroom due to having younger children
and their presence might be distracting
to your child and the rest of the class
or your work schedule might not allow you
