The Central Committee of the Moroccan Ship-owners (CCAM) is the professional organization of the
companies of transport and maritime services. It gathers all the maritime branches of industry to the
trade:
• Freight
• Transport of Passagers
• Port Services
Mission
To defend and promote the interests of the Moroccan transport companies maritime:
near the government and administrations
near international agencies (International Maritime Organization, International organization of Work, etc)
near the national, European and international structures professional (CGEM, Association, International Shipping
Federation, International Chamber of Shipping, etc)
To ensure the communication and the promotion of the image of the maritime transport
To negotiate the Collective agreements and the social agreements of the branch
To inform and advise the members on the social questions, legal, tax, technical and economic concerning
their activity.
The Committee is organized into several structures that ensure its proper functioning. It is composed in particular
of :
The Association : is administered / managed by a Board of Directors composed of representatives of its members
The Office : constitutes the Safety and Health Committee to which the council delegates its powers in the interval of
its meetings.
The secretariat general is the permanent structure which ensures under the authority of the office the current
management of the committee and organizes its work. A permanent secretary can be named for his administration.
The Standing committees are structures of reflexion whose adhesion is opened with the whole of the members of
the Committee. They are seized on various sets of themes on the maritime world
The General meeting is composed of all the members of the committee. The members meet once each year in
ordinary general assembly, in the first four months to deliberate on the businesses on the committee.
Thus among the general objectives defined by the members of the office:
The safeguarding and consolidation of the assets of the occupation of national ship-owner in
the regulation and the Moroccan right like in the international agreements concluded between the
Kingdom and all other parts foreign (country, organizations, institutions, etc….)
The opening on multiform partnerships with maritime actors of first order on the national plan
and international
To position the Committee like recipient impossible to circumvent in any dialog concerning
the Moroccan maritime sector
The realization of the studies and relevant investigations into the Moroccan maritime sector
and their diffusion near the interested parties
